Meet your instructor
Danielle has been doing and teaching Pilates since before it was trendy, because Pilates works.
Danielle's interest in Pilates came from chronic back pain resulting from years of 'pushing through the pain' as a skier, swimmer and runner. Active in fitness and coaching since her teens, she returned to the world of movement after taking time off from the high-tech sector to have her children. In 2007 she certified as a Personal Fitness Trainer and began coaching individual clients as well as running community fitness classes. Not long into her personal training career she re-discovered Pilates through her physiotherapist who advised it to treat her recurring herniated discs and sciatica. Needless to say, Pilates worked and thus began her shift in that direction. She certified with STOTT PILATES in 2011 and has continued to grow her certifications and education since.
Danielle believes that Pilates is for every body and has a passion for figuring out how to get you moving optimally. With a focus on inclusivity and self-empowerment, she believes in tailoring your session to what you and your body need that day; whether it be dealing with pain or injury through gentle restorative movement, or a more intense workout.
She has grown her expertise over two decades working alongside clinicians. Danielle offers movement training to everyone from elite athletes to those with mobility issues, scoliosis, those rehabilitating from injuries and/or surgery, chronic conditions including neurological conditions, autoimmune disease, cancer, and traumatic brain injury.
